I never give up or lose my sense of humor! Had bilateral mastectomy with lymph node removal & over a year of chemo. May 5th of this year started reconstruction & got expanders. This past Wed had them replaced with implants. Fighting lymphedema at the moment… The new tatas are looking amazing. 1st time my new husband has seen me with any boobs! Whooo Hooo! I’m no longer the Titless Wonder. See my ex left me on a rented farm with over 70 animals to attend & me way too ill to care for myself. Not able to work & no money, Bla, bla, bla. My cousin came & brought me to Birmingham 3 years ago today… 9/11. Hmmm Thank God for her! She also introduced me to my husband who nursed me back to health. Thank God for him! He lost his wife to cancer several yrs before we met. I now help others receive their prescriptions & healthcare at a discount. It feels good to give back. Never give up & NEVER lose your sense of HUMOR!!!

Michelles youtube video’s helped me loads when getting ready for my elective surgery,3 weeks after hers! Thank you Michelle! I took a leaf from her book and posted my surgery video’s on my YouTube channel ( jkkj12 ) also. Prevention is better than cure..

I AM TEAM COURAGE….have overcome Mountains in my life through the grace of God….physical & mental abuse, divorce, total house fire, miscarraiages, depression, live with alopecia universalis, breast cancer survivor-bilateral masectomy with total reconstruction…..It is about living life to the fullest and it takes COURAGE as John Wayne so aptly put it…Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway!!

Without this amazing Sisterhood, I could not imagine where I would be. I am truly BLESSED to of found such AMAZING & STRONG women whom have helped me through one of the most difficult Jouney’s any woman has to face, Breast Cancer. I am Team Courage. Reading Michele’s story gave me the courage to face my own “cancer adventure”. So here I am flipping my itchy wig because you ladies gave me the courage to show the world that bald indeed is beautiful !

My children are Team Courage. They lost their mother, in 2008, after a four year battle with breast cancer. Off road racing has been my bereavment therapy, giving me a new focus in life. This is now my second season of racing, nothing serious just for fun.

I AM TEAM COURAGE! I was diagnosed 5 years ago. Invasive Ductal Carcinoma . ( December 2006) I had Bilateral Mastectomies, Reconstruction, Chemo- lost my hair, then 6 weeks of daily radiation.
I found Team Courage and have been following for a while now. I get so much strength and courage by coming to the website and seeing and hearing other women and men talk about their journey with breast cancer. Without this kind of support from others you feel like you are the only one that has those feelings. But then when you read what others express, you find that yours are validated.
Thank you so much Michele for speaking out for others in the fight against Breast Cancer. May it reach others that need the support and assistance in either mammograms, support on line and continuing to find a cure for breast cancer.
