I lost my mother, my aunt, two cousins and my grandmother to breast cancer. My other aunt is a survivor. I am fighting back with preventative bilateral mastectomy, completed almost one week ago. I chose to not let breast cancer even try with me. By having this surgery I feel Like I have a choice and it is to be here for my kids and be happy and healthy! Right now I am in the frankenboob stage and that is ok! I am still beautiful and alive! Thank you to all of the strong beautiful women who have come before me to make this surgery a possibility. We are more than courage, we are women!!!! I am Team Courage. I lost my mother, my aunt, two cousins and my grandmother to breast cancer. My other aunt is a survivor.
