Meet Heather

Heather Berger – A native to Southern California, Heather enjoyed camping fishing and off-roading with her family as a child. In her adult life she joined the military serving her country for over 10 years. Now living in southern Idaho she still enjoys motorcycle riding, camping, whitewater rafting, horse back riding, and fishing. She is actively involved in local motorcycle clubs to help keep the trails she loves open and enjoys helping out with local motorcycle races.

After her mothers diagnosis of Stage IV Breast cancer and having fibroid cysts herself Heather decided to undergo a prophylactic mastectomy. Renaming herself as a ‘Previvor’ and lowering her risk of breast cancer. She advocates for breast cancer awareness any time, any place. And when she was asked to join Team Courage; Heather says, “I have assessed my life. I know where I want to be. Here for my family. I want my kids to have to worry about me living to much life rather than none at all. After all, it’s better to live your life instead of fighting for the life you wish you had. You only get one chance.  So I decided to make mine ONE AMAZING chance!”

Never one to shy away from a challenge, Heather has proven her self by serving our country not only once, but twice. She has served in both the Air Force and the Army. Pretty as a picture and tough as nails, she is not someone you should underestimate. She lived in the desert in the middle east with spiders larger than your cat, and she put her heart on the line in Baja…the start and finish lines as part of the time control team for the 2011 NORRA Mexican 1000.

A wonderful wife, loving mom, an amazing friend, and a perfect example of what it means to be courageous and strong, Heather is Team Courage.
